Associate Professor Ayumi Ishii, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, School of Advanced Science and Engineering, was selected as a recipient of Next Generation Core Researcher Development Program.

Next Generation Core Researcher Development Program

Project title ISHII Optical Information Materials ProjectDevelopment of Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Materials for Enhanced Optical Information Utilization

Recipient Ayumi ISHII

The Next Generation Core Researcher Development Program is a part of the “Promotion of Young Researchers” program, which is a part of the core strategy 7 “Promotion of Original Research and Enhancement of the Ability to Disseminate It Internationally” of “Waseda Vision 150,” to develop core researchers who will lead the next generation of Waseda’s research capabilities. The program aims to promote team-based research led by young and mid-career researchers.

Associate Professor Ishii made the following comments upon the selection.

I am deeply honored to be selected as a recipient of the “Next Generation Core Researcher Development Program”. In this project, we aim to open up new possibilities of “light” not only in the fields of semiconductors and environmental energy, but also in awide range of fields such as biochemistry, information science, astronomy, and earth science, through the development of new systems using next-generation materials and devices with innovative optical functions. We hope to create new academic frontiers and contribute to the advancement of future science and technology thorugh this project.

School of Advanced Science and Engineering congratulates Associate Proffesor Ishii on her selection to the program and wish her continued success in your future endeavors.
